we dont have zip/postal codes! it wont let me order from the site without one?

I'm trying to order a pair of boots from "columbia sportswear company", and it says to enter my zip/postal code - we don't have them in Ireland (except Dublin) .. i tried "0000" "1234" and "xxxx", even my county, but it's not working any ideas???
